It’s hot with record temperatures. Be sure to stay hydrated. For weight loss patients who are “always hungry”:
Eat Your Water
When you are tired or hungry, you can overlook what the real problem may be: dehydration. It is critical to drink a minimum of 64 ounces of liquid (water) per day. As “lazy Americans” we sometimes confuse this liquid consumption goal by using sugary drinks (STARBUCKs, Gatorade, Coke, Pepsi, Red Bull, Slushies and alcohol) which spike insulin levels that acidified and dehydrates our bodies more. These drinks add EMPTY calories as well as damaging the enamel on your teeth, irritate your esophagus and bloat your belly.
The best thing for hot summer days: eat your water and drink your water! #H2O #drinkresponsibly #hydrate
